| I don't blame you. With all the effort that goes into learning Japanese, you're basically stuck learning just the one language. I still don't want to learn too much of anything else yet because I need the brain space for all the kanji. @_@ | |

| speaking of which i heard that u skipped a couple of japanese class lvl's up back then how did you learn so much in so little time? i want to start learning more into this language. i never liked the feeling of feeling left behind on learning something.
also what's your thoughts on the rosetta stone for japanese?? (that is if u ever used it or heard of it???) | |

| I went on the fast track that I did by practicing at least a little Japanese every day, whether it be watching subbed anime to try and hear what the Japanese was for some line of dialogue or other, or finding stuff to read and making a list of the kanji I didn't know and writing their meanings and pronunciation... In other words you can immerse yourself in the language without having to go there yourself.
Oh, and sensei said once that she still thinks in Japanese even though she can speak English rather fluently. That inspired me to try and pass her up, and to be able to think in Japanese as if it was my own native language. I don't think that'll ever happen 100% of the time for me, but I think it really helped get the sentence structure, etc. really solid and natural for me.
Rosetta Stone would be a good program to use to get the basics down solid. I don't think it gets all that advanced, but it wouldn't hurt if that's where you're at. | |
